Association Travel Concepts (ATC) is the official travel agency for the 2005 ASLA Annual Meeting & EXPO. ATC will search for the lowest available fare on any airline, but offers ASLA meeting attendees 10-15 percent discounts on the lowest available fares purchased more than 60 days prior to the meeting on United and Continental (5-10 percent discounts if purchased less than 60 days prior to the meeting). Discounts apply for travel October 4 – 13, 2005. Some restrictions may apply. Service fees apply.

Getting Around Fort Lauderdale

Airport Transportation
Taxicab stands are centrally located at the airport and major hotels. Fares are $3.00 for the first mile, $2.00 for each additional mile and $0.25 for each minute of waiting time. Yellow Cab/Checker can be reached at 954-777-7777. Broward County Transit Public buses service over 410 square miles, with 250 buses plus 30 community buses on 40 routes. Rider information is available at 954-354-8400.

ASLA will provide round-trip shuttle bus service for attendees between the Broward County Convention Center and the Embassy Suites Fort Lauderdale, Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Resort Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa, and Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel. The Marina Marriott is located within easy walking distance. The shuttle bus schedule will be posted online at www.asla.org, on signs at these hotels, and provided in the onsite program.

By Train and Bus
Amtrak (800-USA-RAIL, www.amtrak.com) stops at Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Hollywood, as do Greyhound buses.

Tri-Rail
A 67-mile commuter line links Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties, with free shuttles to the airport. More information regarding schedules is available by calling 954-468-3539.

Water Taxi/Water Bus
Hop aboard one of Water Taxi’s boats and step ashore at major stops along the waterways. All-day unlimited service passes are $5. Additional information is available by calling 954-467-0008.
