Tidal Wave Pool, #12 by Alex
MacLean |
The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF) will conduct a silent auction
of sketches, paintings, watercolors, photographs, and other ephemera executed
by landscape architects. The auction will benefit the development of TCLF’s
forthcoming free, online archive, Landscape Legends: Documenting Landscape
Architecture in America, which will feature video taped oral history
interviews of practitioners who have played a key role in shaping the
profession and the American landscape. The proceeds generated by this
auction will directly support the Landscape Legends project.
Over the past three years, TCLF has made a commitment to capturing pioneers
of the landscape architecture profession on video with the goal of making
the videos available online. To date, with generous support from the SWA
Group, they have filmed Lawrence Halprin, FASLA; Richard Haag, FASLA;
Ruth Patricia Shellhorn, FASLA; and Ted Osmundson, FASLA. They have also
video documented Dan Kiley, Grady Clay, Honorary ASLA, and scholar Dr.
Charles Beveridge PhD, Honorary ASLA, at the Olmsted office and home,
Fairstead.
