In response to calls concerning attendance at the annual meeting by children,
ASLA follows these guidelines:
- Children 16 and older are permitted to register at the student rate
(full or one-day) and receive the rights and privileges of a registered
individual, and purchase tickets to whatever they'd like.
- Children 15 and under are permitted to have Gala tickets purchased
for them, but cannot register in anyway and, therefore, are not able
to participate in any other annual meeting functions.
07/14/03
The spouse/guest registration now is specifically designated
for individuals not interested in the meeting as a landscape architect.
Due to an error, the printed registration materials reflect that a one-day
spouse/guest registration includes admission to education sessions.
Spouse/guest registration does not include admission to the education
sessions at either the full or one-day fee. The one-day fee does still
include admission to the general session held that day, admission to the
exhibit hall that day (if it's Saturday or Sunday) including lunch, and
the ability to purchase tickets for events held that day. The spouse/guest
registration now includes a tour exclusively for those individuals as
well as a spouse/guest hospitality room on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
at the New Orleans Marriott Hotel. A one-day registration purchased for
Friday does include a ticket to the spouse/guest tour and if purchased
for Sunday, does include a ticket to the Closing Dinner.
07/14/03
Important Note: The procedure for acquiring tickets for the Landscape
Architecture Foundation 18th Annual Benefit Dinner, "The
Moonlight Masquerade," has undergone a change this year. Individuals
must now purchase tickets directly from LAF rather than going through
ASLA's registration process. To purchase tickets or for information on
event sponsorship opportunities, please contact Ron Figura at LAF at 202-331-7070,
ext. 10. The cost of tickets for this year's function, being held on Thursday,
October 30, from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. at the Van Benthuysen-Elms Mansion
and Gardens is $150 per ticket.
