New Orleans Marriott Hotel (Headquarters Hotel) Main Number: 504-581-1000 Serving as the headquarters for the meeting, the Marriott is one of New Orleans's premiere meeting hotels. Its location on Canal Street at the edge of the French Quarter and a short walk from the riverfront makes it accessible to all that New Orleans has to offer. The hotel will host the Alumni Reunion, the Fellows' Investiture Dinner, and the Closing Banquet. Staying at this hotel puts you in the center of ASLA's annual meeting activities. Guest room accommodations offer hair dryers, coffee makers, ironing boards and irons, voice mail, data port, two-line telephones, high speed internet access, and cable television. In addition, the hotel features two restaurants and three lounges plus room service. Guests may also access the health club, outdoor pool, and business center. And the lobby bar will be a great place to meet your friends before exploring the Big Easy! The Hotel Monteleone Main Number: 504-523-3341 For ASLA's discerning traveler, a small block of rooms has been reserved at this Historic Landmark Hotel built in the French Quarter in 1886. Ideally located on Royal Street, the hotel is steps away from all the major attractions, restaurants and shopping and is only a block away from the Marriott Hotel, headquarters for the meeting. The hotel has recently been renovated, creating an even more delightful ambiance. The guest rooms feature hair dryers, coffee makers, ironing boards and irons, voice mail, data port, high speed internet access, minibars and laptop-friendly safes. The hotel boasts three restaurants, two lounges, rooftop fitness center, heated outdoor pool, and a full service business center. NOTE: These rooms must be reserved no later than August 28, 2003; after that time, room requests are accommodated by the hotel on a space-available basis at the prevailing rate. Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Main Number: 504-581-9005 Located in the central business district just off Canal Street, one block from the French Quarter, and on the streetcar line, the Courtyard offers spacious rooms with comfortable seating areas. ASLA has reserved a small block of these rooms which all feature coffee makers, hair dryers, ironing boards and irons, cable television, data ports, and voice mail. The hotel has a café which serves breakfast daily and a lounge that is open in the evening. The hotel's amenities also include a fitness room with an indoor whirlpool. Embassy Suites Hotel Main Number: 504-525-1993 Situated in the heart of the arts and warehouse district, this location affords easy access to the many restaurants in the warehouse district as well as proximity to the French Quarter and the river front. The hotel affords each of its guests with that extra bit of space as the suites have a separate living room and bedroom. The mini-kitchens offer a refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker. The newly renovated suites also include hair dryers, ironing boards and irons, two remote control color televisions with Lodge Net services, and two telephones with voice mail and data ports. Of course, as is the case at all Embassy Suites hotels, a complimentary full breakfast and manager's reception is available daily. The hotel also has a restaurant, a lounge, and room service. Hampton Inn and Suites Main Number: 504-566-9990 This building, formerly the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill built in 1900, has been certified by the National Park Service and now restored as a delightful hotel. Located directly across the street from the Morial Convention Center and only blocks from the aquarium, and the riverwalk marketplace, the hotel strikes a perfect balance between locations for business and recreation. The rooms in the new tower feature spacious rooms with cable television, voice mail, data ports, coffee makers, ironing boards and irons. The suites in the restored building offer a separate living room and bedroom plus a microwave and refrigerator. In place of room service, a convenience store and lobby bar are available to the guests along with a complimentary upscale continental breakfast daily in the lobby. Other amenities include a fitness center and outdoor pool, a business center, and complimentary local telephone calls and incoming faxes. Residence Inn by Marriott Main Number: 504-522-1300 Located in the historic Arts District, the Residence Inn offers all the comforts of home with separate sleeping and living areas and a fully equipped kitchen. Each of the oversized suite includes hair dryers, ironing boards and irons, cable television, data ports, high speed internet access, coffee makers, and cable television. The Inn also offers a health club with an outdoor pool and a whirlpool and sports courts. |
