2003 ASLA Annual Meeting & EXPO
October 30 - November 3, 2003
New Orleans, Louisiana
The meeting’s host chapter has created an astonishing selection of tours. The Louisiana Chapter put together 19 visits over two days, Thursday, October 30, and Monday, November 3, to a wide variety of local New Orleans sites as well as to sites in the surrounding area. Special attention was paid to the many gardens in the city and the number of those tours is the largest ever offered at the meeting. The itineraries consist of walking tours or full and half-day motor coach tours as well as a canoe trip and a riverboat cruise. This year a special tour has been planned that’s open only to registered spouses/guests and is included in their registration fee – a day of shopping on New Orleans’ famed Magazine Street.
Tickets will be collected for all ticketed events. Anyone not presenting a ticket will be asked to purchase one at the door (pending availability); any resulting double payments will be refunded after the meeting. Only those individuals presenting a badge will be permitted to purchase tickets at the door.
All tours leave from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center at the Hall H entrance promptly at the time indicated for each tour. All participants are urged to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Advance registration is required for each tour. Space is limited. Unclaimed seats will be sold 15 minutes before the scheduled departure. ASLA reserves the right to sell any unclaimed seats at that time. Make sure to arrive on time to claim your seat.
The higher ticket costs will be in effect as of September 23, 2003.
Pre-Registration has closed for the 2003 Annual Meeting in New Orleans. All registrations must now be handled in New Orleans at ASLA's Registration Desk at the Morial Convention Center, Hall H. Registration opens Wednesday, October 29, at 4:00pm-7:00pm.
