Magazine Street offers six miles of superb antiques, art, clothing, gifts, designer goods unique to New Orleans, and much more. On this outing you will discover firsthand why Magazine Street is known as the backbone of New Orleans shopping. Spend as much or as little money as you want while strolling from shop to shop. Extending from Canal Street at the edge of the French Quarter up the Mississippi River and ending at the Audubon Park and Zoo, this shopping trip is one that’s not walkable from any of the downtown hotels. You are provided with roundtrip transportation and knowledgeable guides who will give a little history of the area and serve as an information center for the day. You will be provided with a detailed map on site; however, you may prefer to get a jump start and strategically plan your shopping experience by visiting www.magazinestreet.com. There is something for everyone, whether you’re an experienced antique collector or simply prefer a leisurely stroll to people-watch. Come and enjoy this shopping experience and make new friends along the way. This tour is offered exclusively to annual meeting spouse/guest registrants
and is included as part of that registration fee. Lunch is on your own
at any one of the many delightful restaurants located on Magazine Street. |
