| 2003 ASLA Annual
Meeting & EXPO October 30 - November 3, 2003 New Orleans, Louisiana |
LOOKING FOR A WAY TO DEFER COSTS FOR ATTENDING THE ASLA ANNUAL MEETING? ASLA is looking for interested students to serve as room monitors in the education sessions. This is a paid position that can help defer costs for attending the meeting, is a great way to network with the speakers and other meeting attendees, AND you just might learn a thing or two in the process! Registration for the annual meeting is a requirement. Responsibilities include assisting with the room’s audio visual equipment, checking badges at the door, handing out and collecting evaluation forms, and taking a head count. This year a new responsibility will be to manage the electronic tracking system, which helps landscape architects verify their education session attendance for licensure requirements. Detailed instructions will be provided to the room monitors about this system. If you are interested in working as a room monitor during the meeting,
take a moment to review the meeting program and select the session(s)
you feel would be the most beneficial to your particular interests. Contact
JoAnn Brown, Meeting Manager, at (202) 216-2333 or e-mail at jbrown@asla.org.
All sessions will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis and you
will be paid a modest fee per session worked. If you work four or more
education sessions, you will be reimbursed the student member early bird
registration fee upon the conclusion of the meeting. |
