CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT

You may earn continuing education credit toward maintenance of state licensure where mandated by attending education sessions during the ASLA Annual Meeting. Currently, the following state boards either require continuing education or have statutory authority to do so for licensed landscape architects:
Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi (voluntary program), Nebraska, Nevada (statutory authority), New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon (statutory authority), Pennsylvania, Rhode Island (statutory authority), South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia (statutory authority) and Wyoming.

The state boards have varying requirements in regard to session attendance documentation requirements as well as how many Continuing Education Units (CEU) or Professional Development Hours (PDH) credits can be acquired at ASLA’s annual meeting. Please contact your state board to determine how to achieve credit from attending these education sessions.

To assist those landscape architects needing attendance verification for credits, ASLA is introducing an electronic tracking system for all the education sessions. Attendees will scan their name badge and be electronically checked in by session monitors outside each room. A record of attended sessions will be mailed after the annual meeting to those individuals who used this system.
