Historic Preservation P.I. Group Mobile Workshop
8:00am-4:00pm
McEnery Convention Center

Note: Attendance is restricted to FULL conference meeting registrants ONLY.

The first stop emphasizes horticulture at Filoli, a peninsula estate owned by the National Trust. The restoration of the original orchards is underway as is the restoration/expansion of the existing greenhouses. The tour proceeds to a summer estate designed by Greene & Greene (Charles Greene). This seldom-visited property showcases an adaptation in Arroyo Stone of Hadrian's villa. Perhaps a mystery stop is next! The bus tour concludes at the city park with two sites to visit. San Jose's Peralta Adobe, built in 1795, is the last surviving structure from El Pueblo Era. From Fallon House (circa 1855), an example of Victorian architecture, enjoy a leisurely self-guided stroll (maps provided) back to the McEnery Convention Center.
Workshop includes moderate walking rain or shine.

$45 per person. Fee includes handouts, box lunch and transportation. Workshop organizer Margaret Mori, ASLA.
