The City of Ponderay, Idaho, is seeking a consultant to assist with a sub-area and shoreline plan for a portion of the City. The goals for the plan are as follows:

  • To include a shoreline redevelopment plan that will define public park, public spaces, and facilities on public land where children and adults can enjoy beautiful built and natural surroundings, including a transportation connection to Sandpoint and a commercial presence on the lake for our town. Plan will guide a pending brownfields cleanup effort and define public and private spaces and may include, conservation areas, manicured park areas, swimming areas, docks, civic facilities, and prime development properties.
  • To make progress toward a much-needed underpass of the railroad
  • To provide analysis of alternatives will establish baseline metrics for the return on investment of land uses normalized with a value per acre approach.
  • To define the relationships between land uses and street networks including the lake, the Pend Oreille Bay trail, infill development, new public ways, and Highway 200.

Contact Erik Brubaker at the City of Ponderay for more a full copy of the plan--planner@ponderay.org, 208-265-5468.
