| Re:joice! A Holiday Greeting from ASLA |
 |
| As the year winds down, ASLA and its leadership would like to extend their very best wishes to you, your families, and your colleagues. It has been another challenging year, but you all soldiered on brilliantly, and the profession is stronger for that. Increasingly, the public is getting an understanding of just what it is you do and why it is important to them. Congratulations, and Happy 2013. |

NOTE: Because of the holidays, we will skip a week publishing LAND. The next issue will be January 8, 2013. Many thanks.

| Abruptly, holiday celebration seems somehow inappropriate... but necessary. Our nation has been jolted by loss of many precious lives due to an unthinkable evil act. At the same time, inspiration comes by the heroic sacrifice of others. As we cope with our collective grief, may we as a society, come together with our nation to help find the answers that will end these kinds of tragedy. May we all dig deep within, to find where best our skills can be used to the best advantage of this goal. With this in mind, I wish you all a Happy, Healthy holiday season. |
