Student Awards Offer More Than Recognition
The 2012 ASLA Student Awards not only present an opportunities for students to showcase their projects and bring glory to their schools. They also provide scholarships to the ASLA Annual Meeting and EXPO for the winners. Student entry forms are due by Friday, April 27, and submissions are due by Friday, May 11.
Official entrants receiving Honor Awards or Awards of Excellence in the Student Awards Program will receive a complimentary full registration to the 2012 ASLA Annual Meeting and EXPO ($380 value), September 28- October 1 in Phoenix. Official entrants receiving an Award of Excellence in the Student Awards Program will also receive travel, hotel accommodations, and expenses for the meeting ($1,500+ value).
Students who meet the eligibility requirements may enter any of the following seven categories:
- General Design
- Residential Design
- Analysis and Planning
- The Student Community Service Award
- Student Collaboration.
The 2012 awards call for entries details the complete awards criteria and guidelines. Student and professional award recipients, their advisers, and clients will be honored at the awards presentation ceremony during the ASLA Annual Meeting on Monday, October 1. Award recipients receive featured coverage in the October issue of Landscape Architecture Magazine and in many other design, construction industry, and general-interest media.
