Linda Daley, ASLA

Linda Daley, ASLA, has been promoted to managing principal of the Culver-City-based design firm ahbe landscape architects, where she will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s business development, financial management and human resources. Daley brings 20 years in marketing and business planning and 10 years in landscape architecture to this position. Prior to assuming her new position, Daley served as a leader in all aspects of the firm’s practice, from business development and strategic planning to project and studio management, participating in the planning, design and management of a wide range of urban design projects including campuses, parks, streetscapes, and institutions. Daley received a B.S. in Marketing from Syracuse University, earned an MBA in Finance at Fordham University and completed a Certificate in Landscape Architecture at UCLA Extension.

Robert Gibbs, ASLA, will be giving the keynote address to the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects on April 19, 2008 in Waterloo, Ontario. Gibbs will be presenting his chapter on sustainable neighborhood retail planning and design principles that was recently published in the book Sustainable Urbanism, by Douglas Farr and Andres Duany.

Andy Rasmussen, ASLA

Nick Hagan, ASLA, and Andy Rasmussen, ASLA have both been promoted to principal of the landscape architecture firm of Weisman Design Group. Wendy Anderson, ASLA, Mike Loe, ASLA, and Jon McNamara, ASLA, were also promoted to senior associates at the firm. Hagan has 14 years experience with the firm and is currently leading the design of Cascadia, a planned community in Pierce County, as well as managing key education, recreation, and mixed use projects. Rasmussen is a LEED accredited professional with 12 years of experience at Weisman Design Group. He is working on a variety of K-12 schools and mixed use projects throughout the Puget Sound region. Anderson has 25 years of experience in design and management and is currently working on the Bravern mixed use project in Bellevue and numerous other commercial and educational projects. Loe brings 12 years experience in site planning, educational, and recreational facilities and is currently managing projects for the Riverview and Sumner school district. McNamara is a LEED accredited professional and has 10 years experience in design and project management and is currently working on a variety of mixed use, educational and high rise urban design projects.

Susanne Hanson, ASLA, has joined Simone Collins Landscape Architecture as director of business development. Hanson, who is trained as a landscape architect, brings a strong client delivery perspective that is rooted in her marketing and financial services experience.  Susanne is a member of Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and is active in planning for the American Society of Landscape Architecture’s (ASLA) National Convention being held in Philadelphia in October, 2008.

Todd McCurdy, ASLA, has recently been appointed to the position of principal of Morris Architects. McCurdy has served as the director of landscape architecture and planning for the last ten years and will continue to lead in this capacity to grow the firm’s presence on an international scale. Since joining Morris Architects in 1997, McCurdy has overseen the establishment and success of the firm’s landscape architecture and planning work. He combines his nearly 25 years of experience with place-making, knowledge of tourism, and sustainable design to advise government entities and developers in the planning, development and redevelopment of new destinations and major urban centers.
