40 YEARS OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE IN THE NATION'S CAPITAL

The first of three events, this round-table symposium of Pioneers in the Profession will feature the Potomac Chapter's senior members, many of whom have enjoyed long, effective and influential careers, and will focus on the depth of knowledge and experience they have accumulated. Presentations over the course of the day will be facilitated to provide a forum for critical discourse that captures the voice and character of Chapter elders, and will reflect the strides and accomplishments of our profession through the first 40 years of the life of the Chapter. Moderated discussions may include charting changes in the profession, interesting evolutions in their careers, current challenges to the profession, and introducing youngsters to careers in landscape architecture. The symposium will provide a venue to showcase the full range, depth and breadth of the practice of Landscape Architecture in the National Capital area and beyond, and will intrinsically recognize the work of peers who have advanced the profession in the National Capital area.

Friday, April 25, 2008 from 9:00 am to 2:15 pm. Registration will be from 9:00 - 9:30 am
