Plan on Attending the ASLA Annual Meeting Gala

This year’s ASLA Annual Meeting & EXPO has an exciting lineup of speakers, continuing education, tours and field sessions, awards, and events. But one of the highlights of the 2007 meeting will be the ASLA/Landscape Structures Gala. Sponsored by Landscape Structures Inc., the celebration will be held on Sunday evening, October 7, at the newly reopened de Young Museum located in historic Golden Gate Park. The event will be held from 7:00 to 11:00 PM.

This event is always the best attended of all ASLA Annual Meeting social events, and this year will set a new record, as the de Young has received worldwide acclaim for its architecture and landscape design (by Walter Hood, ASLA), as well as its collections. The gala will feature gourmet food, live music, and children’s educational entertainment provided through Camp ASLA. Guests will dine and dance on the sculpture garden terrace, tour the galleries at their leisure, shop at the museum stores, and experience one of the city’s most spectacular views from the museum’s glass-walled observation tower.

Tickets will not be sold at the door, so plan early to attend this spectacular evening. To purchase advance tickets to the gala, click here. Professional and student registrants may purchase up to two tickets and guest registrants may purchase one ticket. Tickets cost $80 per person ($60 per student) if ordered by August 27 and $90 per person ($70 per student) thereafter. Children 14 and under are $30 per person by August 27 and $40 thereafter.
