JobLink LIVE Connects Firms with Potential Candidates
Onsite interviews with top firms make this year's ASLA Annual Meeting & EXPO a must-attend for landscape architects seeking employment

Once again, ASLA will be offering landscape architects seeking employment a unique opportunity to interview with top landscape architecture firms at this year’s 2007 Annual Meeting & EXPO through the JobLink LIVE service. On Saturday, October 6, and Sunday, October 7, landscape architecture firms will be providing half-hour interview time slots with prospective employees in the EXPO hall at The Moscone Center. Representatives from private firms, public agencies, and academic institutions are invited to participate, conduct interviews, and review résumés. Last year, more than 50 firms participated in JobLink LIVE.

Firms that are interested in participating in JobLink LIVE should visit the meeting website for more information, or contact Carolyn Mitchell to reserve time slots. Prospective employers should bring 50 copies of information materials on the firm and 50 copies of job announcements for distribution.

Firms may sign up to be listed on the JobLink LIVE interview schedule and have a tabletop exhibit to promote their participation for $300. Registered firms will be provided with a table and two chairs. Human resources staff may register as guests of a primary registrant from the same firm, or they may purchase a one-day registration. Prospective job candidates may sign up for interviews before attending the meeting. Candidates should dress in business attire for the interview and bring 25 copies of their résumés and presentation copies—not electronic copies—of their portfolios.

Early sign-up
This year, ASLA is encouraging job applicants to reserve their interview time well in advance of the meeting. Interested candidates should visit the interview scheduling page, pick a time to interview, and click on the link to sign up for the interview. By signing up early, candidates will be able to take charge of their conference schedule and ensure that they can meet with the firms of their choosing. Be sure to visit the interview scheduling page often, as firms will be added to the schedule as the annual meeting approaches.
