ASLA Selects 33 Members for the Council of Fellows
The new class will be formally inducted during the ASLA Annual Meeting in San Francisco
Today ASLA announces the election of 33 members for induction into its Council of Fellows, among the highest honors the Society confers each year. The Class of 2007 includes members from 23 chapters and one international Fellow-elect.
Each year, a jury composed of five Fellows meets to elect members of ASLA to the Council of Fellows. Fellows are recognized for their extraordinary work, leadership, knowledge, and service to the profession over a sustained period of time. This year 70 members out of more than 4.000 eligible members were nominated—a high honor in itself. The jury found this to be a highly competitive year and the overall quality of the nominations impressive.
The new Fellows will be formally inducted during the ASLA Annual Meeting in San Francisco on Saturday, October 6, 2007, and will thereafter use the suffix “FASLA” after their names, denoting recognition of their achievements by their peers.
