ASLA Announces 2007 Slate of Candidates
Candidates for three 2008–2009 vice presidential offices and the office of 2008 president-elect will square off in late spring and early summer.
The following members will comprise the slate of candidates for the offices of 2008 president-elect; 2008–2009 vice president, communication; 2008–2009 vice president, education; and 2008–2009 vice president, government affairs. The candidates are listed in alphabetical order by office. LAND Online will provide complete election coverage in the coming months, beginning with the publication of the candidates’ concept and aims and biographical statements on February 13, 2007. The candidates for president-elect will also be participating in the LAND Online president-elect candidate forum in February, March, and April, and the audio and text of their speeches to the Board of Trustees in late April will be published on April 30, 2007.
The vice presidential election will be held during the Board of Trustees midyear meeting, April 27–28, 2007. Voting in the general election by the professional membership for president-elect will open on April 30 and will close at midnight PDT on Wednesday, May 30. The Tellers Committee will convene on Thursday, June 7, to review and verify the election results.
