Marc Morfei, ASLA

Pennoni Associates Inc., an award-winning consulting engineering firm headquartered in Philadelphia, is pleased to announce the addition of Marc Morfei, ASLA, to its Civil/Site/Landscape Architecture Technology department. A member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Morfei was hired as a Senior Landscape Architect with Pennoni’s Philadelphia office. He was previously employed as the Director of Capital Projects for the Center City District in Philadelphia, PA.
  
Morfei specializes in urban planning as well as streetscape design and construction. His work for Philadelphia’s Center City District was widely recognized and received numerous awards, including the ASHE (American Society of Highway Engineers) Delaware Valley Project of the Year award in 2004 for the Benjamin Franklin Parkway Lighting and Roadway Improvements Project. In his new role, Morfei will direct the design approach and project management for a broad variety of landscape architecture projects, including streetscape projects and numerous projects in Lower Merion Township.
 
Morfei earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University and a Master of Science degree from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.


LandDesign Washington DC is pleased to announce the promotions of staff members Drew Taylor, ASLA, AICP, to the position of manager, and Robert Anderson, ASLA, to the position of associate.
 
Taylor, a graduate of Penn State University, has eight years of experience as a landscape architect including this past year at LandDesign. He currently manages and is the lead landscape architect on a variety of projects ranging from urban infill projects to master planned communities in both Virginia and North Carolina. Taylor is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, American Planning Association and American Institute of Certified Planners.  

Anderson joined LandDesign early this year; he has eighteen years of experience as a landscape architect. He is project manager for a series of land planning and streetscape/community amenity projects in Virginia and West Virginia, and also has been responsible for the technical development of many facets of the firm’s work at National Harbor in Prince George’s County, MD.  In addition, Anderson is contributing to office-wide training on a range of computer skills.


JJR has announced the election of the following new associates:
Cory Gallo, ASLA, is a registered landscape architect in the Ann Arbor Studio and has a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University.  Gallo is also LEED certified and is the JJR, LEED study group organizer.  He is involved with many OSU projects and the UNLV North Campus Master Plan. 

Dave Wilber, ASLA, is a registered landscape architect in the Ann Arbor Studio and has a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from Michigan State University. He is currently leading the production of the final design drawings for the Dequindre Cut Greenway that provides a connection from the Detroit Riverwalk into adjacent neighborhoods.  Wilber is a key player in the Boblo Island projects, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business project.

Linda Sievert, ASLA, is a registered landscape architect in the Madison Studio and has a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from Purdue University.  She is the project manager and lead designer for one of the firm’s largest projects in the Madison area, Epic Corporate Headquarters Office.  She was also a key designer for the Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, recipient of the 2005 National Award for Garden Excellence.
