The June issue of Landscape Architecture magazine provides a glimpse into the rich landscape architecture heritage of Minneapolis, site of the 2006 ASLA Annual Meeting & EXPO and the 43rd IFLA World Congress, which will be held October 6-9. More than a century ago, with the inspiration of H.W.S. Cleveland, Minneapolis and St. Paul planned and built one of the most connected urban park systems in the world. More recently, in projects ranging from city plazas and transit malls to parks and sculpture gardens, Minnesota has supported some of the nation’s most innovative landscape architecture. A PDF of the article is available on ASLA’s web site.
