NCASLA 2006 Spring Conference "Healthy Communities by Design"
June 8–10, 2006
Atlantic Beach, North Carolina
This year's NCASLA Spring Conference is structured around the central theme of designing for healthy communities. NCASLA has planned to make this conference both educational and fun for members and their families, and to include a number of great speakers and sessions for the conference.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend lecture topics that focus on responsible and creative stormwater design, use of Best Management Practice materials, current impacts of development on coastal stormwater, and about land planning and design strategies that promote community health and wellness.

NCASLA is proud to have Mark Fenton as our keynote speaker. Fenton is an entertaining, persuasive, and knowledgeable walking advocate; one of the nation's foremost experts on the activity; the former editor-at-large of Walking Magazine; host of the March 2000 PBS pledge special, Walk to a Better Life; and now host of the new PBS series, "America's Walking."
