ASLA Unveils Enhanced JobLink
Popular member service now includes several ways to search, allowing users to find just the right job for them. Firms posting jobs also have new services to help manage their listings.

ASLA’s JobLink service, which, on average, lists more than 200 jobs per month, has been greatly improved to help firms and landscape architects connect more easily. The enhanced JobLink allows job seekers to search listings by several criteria to help them find just the right job. In addition, it is now much easier for firms to manage their job postings. In today’s competitive job market, JobLink has proven to be a vital tool for recruitment, and with these enhancements, it will only become more popular. Here’s a rundown of the new services available to job searchers and posters:

For job seekers:

  • JobLink Searches can now be performed by state, metro area, job type, years of experience required, and keywords.
  • JobLink listings will now be time stamped so users will know just how long they have to apply.

For job posters:

  • Those posting to JobLink will now be given an account page where they can edit current listings, extend the amount of time current listings are posted, and add new listings.
  • Firms posting to JobLink can now get instant access to their individual posting account rather than waiting for their payments to process.
  • Those posting to JobLink will now be allowed to select an initial listing time of 30, 60, or 90 days. Users will be able to extend their listings at any time.
  • Job posters will receive new price discounts based on 30, 60, and 90-day postings.
  • JobLink postings will also be time stamped to show users how long each posting will remain on the ASLA website.
  • Those who are not ASLA members will be prompted to start an account with ASLA to post a listing and will be given instant access to JobLink once this process is complete.

In addition, the JobLink resume posting service is now searchable by state, metro area, job type, years of experience required, and keywords. Résumé posters will also be given the same account page as job posters, allowing them to edit their résumés and extend the amount of time they appear on the ASLA website.

ASLA will be unveiling additional JobLink enhancements in the near future, including a free year of ASLA membership for nonmembers posting to JobLink for the first time. ASLA also plans to allow basic HTML functionality for job postings, allowing firms to more easily include hyperlinks, basic font changes, and images. Stay tuned for further enhancements to this important member benefit!
