The LARE experience-frustrating or edifying-presents more questions
than answers.

The fear of the unknown is often scarier than the reality of the
thing that is feared. Good suspense film directors have been milking
that concept for years. If Alfred Hitchcock were to write a film
about the LARE, the sound of a clock's incessant, repetitive tick
would fill the theater as the lens focused in on a single empty
chair.
The reality of an LARE test center is far less macabre.
