          2004 Student Awards Jury Comments

Saint Joseph’s Health and Retirement Center, located in Ojai California, is an existing senior care campus that provides skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, and chapel and conferencing functions. It is comprised of 11 one-story buildings of varying age. The buildings are set among formal gardens, oak tees, and orange orchards, which surround the property.

This project designed healing gardens as a part of the remodeled design of the campus.
