Adoption of Policies
802. Adoption, amendment, or repeal of public policies on matters of professional interest or concern shall require an affirmative vote by two-thirds (2/3) of the entire voting membership of the Board of Trustees. Adoption, amendment, or repeal of administrative policies on matters of interest or concern internal to the Society shall require an affirmative vote by a majority of the Board of Trustees present and voting.

Charge and Responsibility
Formulate ASLA policy on issues facing the profession and regularly review and update policies and stylistic formats. When the committee determines a particular issue lies outside its area of expertise, it should recommend to the Executive Committee that a temporary task force be formed to draft a policy statement.

Reporting
Reports on committee activity are included in the Program and Operations Reports prepared quarterly for the Board of Trustees by the executive vice president and staff liaisons.
