Current Members and Organizational Characteristics
Length of service actually covers two years: one year
as CPC chair designate and one year as CPC chair; or one year
as chapter president-elect (or equivalent office) and one
year as chapter president.

Charge and Responsibility
Facilitate the exchange of information, ideas, opportunities, and
challenges common to the chapters; advise ASLA’s leadership
and staff about issues, programs, services, and support needed by
the chapters; identify ways in which the national officers and staff
can assist in addressing specific challenges and issues of concern
to the chapters; carry out the ASLA mission at the local level utilizing
the information and tools made available by national; provide input
to national officers and staff on the ASLA priorities; serve on
CPC subcommittees if needed; recommend one soon to be past president
to the serve on the national Nominating Committee; and recommend
past chapter presidents at midyear each year for appointment as
council chair designate.
Reporting
Reports on council activity are included in the Program and Operations
Reports prepared quarterly for the Board of Trustees by the executive
vice president and staff liaisons. |
