EPA Posts ASLA's WaterSense Comments
ASLA Government Affairs
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a new WaterSense policy. WaterSense is a set of voluntary standards for developers and landscape professionals to follow in order to reduce residential water consumption.
ASLA drafted comments, which were posted to EPA's Web site today, to encourage the EPA to utilize more landscape architecture techniques to assist with water efficiency and conservation on homeowner’s landscapes. ASLA submitted two letters, the first of which as part of a broad coalition of landscape and irrigation industry professionals and the second, which was a letter on behalf of ASLA signed by Executive Vice President/CEO Nancy Somerville.
