ASLA Meeting Features AICP, AIA, NY, and FL Continuing Education
While more than 100 sessions to be offered during the ASLA Annual Meeting and EXPO, September 18-21, are registered with the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA CES™), many sessions also provide credit opportunities for members of allied organizations and landscape architects licensed in Florida and New York:
- 41 programs are registered with the American Institute of Certified Planners;
- 25 programs are registered with the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System;
- 89 programs are approved by the Florida Board of Landscape Architecture; and
- 87 programs comply with the requirements established by the New York State Board for Landscape Architecture.
Professional Development Hours (PDH) is the term that ASLA and the LA CES™ use to describe how much credit a course carries. The number of PDH offered is listed with each session description on the annual meeting web site.
As a professional courtesy, ASLA extends the member registration rate for the meeting to members of the American Planning Association, the American Institute of Architects, and the Urban Land Institute.
Following the meeting, attendees may download an attendance confirmation providing proof of the PDH earned during the annual meeting. The exact number of hours accepted for licensure purposes may vary by state, but ASLA has made every effort to structure educational opportunities that adhere to the most widely acknowledged guidelines of state registration boards requiring continuing education. Full registration offers the opportunity to earn more than 21 PDH at the meeting.
