The PPN Webpage Template

ASLA provides a template to allow networks to establish and maintain websites easily. Continued hosting of these websites is provided by ASLA.

Editing your Network's Webpage

Editing your network's webpage does not take advanced technical skill. You just need an internet connection, a user name, a password, and a keyboard. Read how easy it is.

1. Contact ASLA: Ask your chair to email Rachel Shaw at rshaw@asla.org to let us know that you will be managing your network's website. ASLA can then assign you a user name and a password, which we will email to you.

2. Login:
a. Go to http://host.asla.org/admin/login/index.cfm.
b. Enter your user name and password, and click the “Login” button.
c. You are now on a page that allows you to change and update your network's website!

3. Data entry: Logging in gives you access to an electronic form that prompts you to fill in information. You can type this information directly into the boxes on the screen, cut and paste from word documents, and attach images, PDF’s, or other files.

4. Update: When you are finished entering information, click on the button that says "add" or "update" below where you were typing, and then click “UPDATE ALL FILES” on the left side of the screen. Then click “Logout.”

5. Check out your results!! Your login page is your “back door” to your PPNs website. Now, come to the “front door”-- your network's publicly accessible website, and see the page you just worked on as it appears to others!
