GSA to Seek LA Firms As a direct result of ASLA’s meetings with the General Services Administration (GSA), GSA is issuing a solicitation for landscape architecture firms to compete for indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts to provide services as part of GSA’s First Impressions program. The aggregate dollar value of the services is estimated at $12.5 million over the next 5 years. This will be the first time GSA has contracted with landscape architecture firms as primes on federal projects. GSA is expected to release the solicitation within the next two weeks. They will be contacted by the Nominating Committee prior to its meeting in New Orleans to determine their willingness to run if nominated. Potential nominees for vice president include all full members of the Society. Vice presidents may be renominated to succeed themselves in the same office for a second consecutive term. Nominees for president-elect, on the other hand, must serve at least one full term as a national vice president or chapter trustee to be eligible for nomination.
