2003 ASLA Awards Program - The Professional Awards
Entry Instructions
Thank you for participating in the 2003 ASLA Professional Awards Program.
There are four categories of Professional Awards: Category 1-Design; Category
II-Analysis and Planning; Category III-Research; and Category IV-Communications.
Entry Process: Any individual, firm, association, agency, or
academic institution is eligible to enter Category I or II of the Professional
Awards as long the project's participants include at least one of the
following:
- ASLA member
- Nonmember landscape architect
- Graduate of a landscape architecture program
- Faculty member of a landscape architecture program
In addition, non-landscape architects are eligible to enter Category
III or IV of the Professional Awards.
Follow the step-by-step instructions and complete the appropriate forms
for the Professional Awards Category in which you wish to submit, using
the Entry Binder provided. The jury will not consider submittals that
do not adhere to the instructions or are not submitted in the Entry Binder
provided.
Return shipping for the completed Entry Binder to the ASLA is pre-paid
and shipping information is included. Completed Entry Binders must be
received no later than Friday, May 16, 2003, at 5:00 pm EDT, at the ASLA
offices, 636 Eye St., NW, Washington, DC 20001. No exceptions.
Entry Binders for award winning submittals will be kept by the ASLA for
media purposes and archived for future reference. All other binders will
be returned to the submittal contact shortly after the jury meets in late
June.
Award Notification and Recognition: The Awards Jury will meet
June 20-22 and award recipients will be notified shortly thereafter. Awards
will be presented at a special celebration during the ASLA National Convention,
October 30-November 3, in New Orleans, LA. Award recipients will receive
recognition from local and national media and in national design publications,
in addition to being featured in ASLA publications and on the ASLA website.
