The Union Square Partnership District Management Association, Inc. (“USP”), a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, is seeking proposals from Landscape Architecture firms for the design of neighborhood streetscape and lighting projects in the Union Square-14th Street business improvement district area. The goal of these projects is to beautify the Union Square neighborhood, providing an aesthetically pleasing environment for property owners, commercial businesses, residents, and visitors, and to support and encourage pedestrian activity.
The selected Consultant will work closely with USP to create the design plans and obtain approvals from relevant agencies. The projects relevant to this Request for Proposals (RFP) include but are not limited to tree plantings, flower planters, tree guards, fixed and movable seating elements, waste containers, street lighting (roadway + pedestrian), park lighting, building façade lighting, bollards, sidewalk and bus transit improvements. The budget for this contract is $75,000. However, bids in excess of the budgeted amount will be considered.
The deadline for responses is Monday, July 12, 2021. Questions about the RFP can be directed to info@unionsquarenyc.org and must be submitted no later than Wednesday, June 23, 2021. A list of questions and responses will be distributed to all interested firms on or before Friday, June 25, 2021.
