Learn the basics of project review under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. This seminar emphasizes practicalities-how to avoid pitfalls and victimization by myths. Discuss recent changes in regulations and procedures, with an emphasis on coordination with the National Environmental Policy Act and other laws. An agenda is available online at www.npi.org.

Instructor. Ethel R. Eaton, Ph.D., senior policy analyst, Office of Review and Compliance, Virginia Department of Historic Resources; previously with the Maryland Historical Trust, with past excavation, teaching, and research positions at universities and museums.
