Women in Landscape Architecture: Walking Tour of the National Museum of the American Indian Landscape
BYOB (Bring Your Own Breakfast). Free. Departs from the corner of 4th Street and Jefferson Drive, NW.
Join us for a brisk, sunrise walk through the landscape setting of the National Museum of the American Indian. Led by Marsha Lea, ASLA, one of your Potomac Chapter hosts and one of the members of NMAI’s design team, the tour will include a discussion of the design and installation of the wetlands and other native plantings surrounding the museum site.

Each year, the ASLA Professional Awards program honors the best in landscape architecture from around the globe, while the ASLA Student Awards program gives us a glimpse of the future of the profession. A video presentation will highlight the projects receiving awards in the General Design, Residential Design, Analysis and Planning, Research, and Communications categories, as well as the 2010 recipients of The Landmark Award, the Student Awards, and the Bradford Williams Medals.
